Heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers for Kochamma, the bereaving family, and for the entire St. Thomas Orthodox Church community of Levittown, NY, on the passing away of Very Reverend Dr. Mathai Yohannan Sankarathil Chor Episcopos. As one of the early immigrants among the clergy to the continent, Shankarathil Achen has shone as a towering personality in tirelessly building up his parish community, our diocese and the Church in the Orthodox faith, on this side of the globe. Those relentless efforts have helped nurture the different ministries of the Church including Sunday School and they are gratefully acknowledged.
